Kingdom Housing Association (HA) has strengthened its senior team by appointing Alan Simpson as a Director of Housing and Asset Management.
Having worked with Kingdom for over 23 years, Mr Simpson will take up his new role on 01 April.
He will be joined by Norah Smith, who is taking up a new director's post within the new Support and Care subsidiary.
The appointments and new subsidiary were created as part of a reorganisation of the Group.
Starting out as a development officer in 1993, Mr Simpson has undertaken various positions in Property Services, before being appointment as Kingdom's head of asset management in 2014. He is also a qualified Quantity Surveyor and a member of the RICS.
Bill Banks, Kingdom's Group chief executive, said: "I have worked with Alan for many years and I would like to congratulate him on his recent appointment.
"We have ambitious plans to provide more new affordable housing and our business plan is based on continuing to develop enhanced services to our customers, to assist them to sustain their tenancies, whilst demonstrating affordability and Value for Money and I am confident Alan will make a significant contribution to achieving these aims."
Mr Simpson said: "The new role as director of housing and asset management will be challenging, given all the changes which are impacting on the sector. However, I am really looking forward to starting in the new post and working with the teams to deliver on the objectives agreed by the Board."
