Turners FM To Carry Out Energy Efficiency Scheme In Dundee

Turners FM is set to begin an external wall insulation programme worth over £300,000 in Dundee.

The contractor will deliver upgrades to 48 properties in Maitland Street after the energy efficiency programme secured additional funding from a number of national sources.

Further finance has been awarded from the Scottish Government's Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland - Area Based Scheme (HEEPS - ABS), and energy efficiency measures reallocated from national underspend.

Cllr Kevin Cordell said: "With a council contribution of £163,114 we were able to bring forward this work worth a total of £354,306.

"Work will be completed by the end of May 2017 and I am sure that tenants and owner occupiers in Maitland Street will find the same reductions in their energy bills and warmer homes that we have heard about from other parts of the city where this work has been done."
