Scotland TranServ To Begin £500,000 A75 Road Maintenance Project

Scotland TranServ is to begin a major road maintenance project on the A75 between Annan and Gretna.

The company will start carrying out over £500,000 of resurfacing work along the 1.5km route on Monday, 28 November.

Work will take place between 7pm – 6am until Thursday, 01 December. A further closure will take place on the A75 Birkhill to Irvington from Friday, 02 December until Monday, 05 December. Diversions will be in place.

Andy Fraser, operating company representative, Scotland TranServ, said the project will help improve the road surface for over 9,000 road users using the A75 Euro Route each day.

"We are doing everything we can do minimise disruption by carrying these works out overnight and at the weekend, however we would advise motorists to plan ahead and leave plenty of time for their journeys," he said.
