£15m Healthcare Centre Opens In East Renfrewshire

A new £15 million health and social care centre has opened in East Renfrewshire.

The Eastwood Health and Care Centre was built by Morgan Sindall on the site of the former Isobel Mair School in Williamwood.

Designed by Hoskins Architects, the facility includes a range of primary care, clinical, social care and voluntary self help services under one roof.

The project was delivered by East Renfrewshire Health and Social care Partnership, the council, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in partnership with hub West Scotland and the Scottish Futures Trust.

Cllr Alan Lafferty said: "This new centre opened its door to patients in East Renfrewshire on Monday and offers them access to a wide range of health and social care services in state of the art facilities. It is a wonderful example of close partnership working bringing together the East Renfrewshire Council, NHSGGC and the private sector to deliver real benefits for local communities."
