A new £1.67 million innovation centre project has been completed in Glasgow.
The Tontine building was opened on 18 May and is predicted to inject £53.6m into the Glasgow city regions economy.
It is expected 134 businesses will be supported at The Tontine, leading to the creation of 536 new jobs.
Features include flexible workspaces with breakout booths, networking and meeting areas along with office/desk spaces.
The building, which was once home to Scottish inventor James Watt, will display what Glasgow and associated local authorities in the city-region can do to support innovative industries that will bring future economic growth.
It is the first project to be completed under the £1.13 billion Glasgow City Region City Deal, which will deliver 20 infrastructure schemes, bringing a forecasted 43,000 jobs during and after construction.
Council Leader Frank McAveety said: "The opening of The Tontine is a landmark for our economy. What has been created here is a business environment that will bring the type of jobs to deliver a long-term and ongoing economic boost to the Glasgow city region. This City Deal-supported project will provide a perfect space for entrepreneurs working in high-tech industries to grow their business. We will see some of the brightest and most innovative young companies in Scotland based in The Tontine."
