A new £62,000 play park has opened in North Lanarkshire.

The facility was opened on 16 April and delivered in partnership with CultureNL and Harthill Play Park Initiative (HaPPI).

It was funded by a grant of £50,000 from WREN's FCC Scottish Action Fund, North Lanarkshire Council and HaPPI via community fundraising.


Features include seating areas, pathways, and various play equipment for children.

HaPPI Chair, Nicola Gilles, said: "This fantastic facility is going to make a real difference to the children in our area. We are extremely grateful to North Lanarkshire Council and WREN for providing funding and I would like to thank them and CultureNL Play Services for their support in the development this project."
