A Community Liaison Group overseeing a link road project in the Highlands has been updated about the schemes progression.
A second Public Local Communities Liaison Group meeting was held on 02 November for the Inverness West Link Project.
MM Miller (Wick) is undertaking the Advance Works Contract, with most of the tree removal works complete.
It is anticipated that all traffic management on the A82 Glenurquhart Road will be finished shortly.
The meeting was advised by Scottish Water that their water mains diversion work, to allow for the West Link roadworks to start in 2016, is progressing well.
Morrison Construction is undertaking the works at the Canal Parks, the Queens Park and the Ness-side areas.
A temporary overnight shut down of water supplies was advised by Scottish Water in order to minimise disruption to properties.
This will take place from 10pm on 11 November to 6am on 12 November, possibly affection 2,200 properties.
A similar shut down of the water supply to the properties localised at Ness-side is programmed for January 2016.
Cllr Graham Ross, Chair of the Community Liaison Group said: "Work is progressing well and all with minimal disruption to traffic and the community to date."
