A new £37m community campus in Aberdeenshire has reached practical completion, hub North Scotland has announced.
Work on the Alford Community Campus got underway in June.
It followed advance works in October 2013 which included initial ground works and the creation of an access road for construction
The new facility will replace both the existing Alford Primary School and Alford Academy.
With construction work now complete, the campus will officially open to pupils at the start of the new term.
The school has been delivered for Aberdeenshire Council by hub North Scotland.
The main contractor for the build was Morrison Construction.
The complex includes new classrooms, a theatre, a sports hall and a dance studio.
All-weather and grass playing fields have also been created.
Other features to support the wider community include a swimming pool, a library and accommodation for the council's community learning and development team.
Angus Macfarlane, chief executive of hub North Scotland, said: "Working closely with Aberdeenshire Council, main contractor Morrison Construction and other key stakeholders, we have created a modern learning environment that will not only benefit the pupils who use it daily but also the wider Alford and Aberdeenshire community."
Jim Hanna, project director at Morrison Construction, added: "We are delighted to be able to continue our relationship with Aberdeenshire Council and hub North Scotland, and have successfully together completed the construction of the new Alford Community Campus."
An open day at the new Alford Community Campus is to take place on Saturday, 24 October between 10am and 4pm.
