ISG is underway with two projects for the University of Edinburgh.

The work follows the firms recent £11m contract wins in Glasgow.

After it completed the first phase of the Ashworth building redevelopment for the School of Biological Sciences, ISG has commenced the second phase of the project, valued at £1m.

The contractor will reconfigure the existing accommodation on the three remaining levels of the five-storey building to create high-specification office and laboratory space.


In addition, the university has awarded ISG a £1.2m project at the Michael Swann Building.

Work is underway on the second floor of the building, where 7,900 sq ft of study space will be redeveloped to create two new research laboratories, along with office and meeting accommodation.

As part of the project, existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure will be replaced with modern and efficient services.
