Consultation To Be Held For Community Sports Hub

Aberdeenshire Council has announced an event will be held later this month which will allow the public to share their views on a Community Sports Hub.

Residents of Tarland are invited to attend the consultation to voice their opinions on the new hub.

The project is being developed in partnership with sportscotland.

Councillor Alison Evison said: "There is a variety of sports clubs and associations in Tarland and the surrounding area and this is the ideal opportunity for them to join and work together.

"The hub will be tailored to the needs of the local community and will be a great tool for sports clubs to come together and bounce ideas off one another."

Councillor Charles Buchan added: "Groups will be able to work together to develop and create new opportunities whether it is the introduction of new sports or the development and realisation of the full potential of facilities already available."

The exhibition will be held at 7pm on 26 August in MacRobert Memorial Hall.
