West Dunbartonshire Council has announced work is progressing on the new £1.8 million workshops at the Vale of Leven Industrial Estate.

A total of 13 units are being developed offering opportunities for small and growing businesses to move into modern and purpose built accommodation.

The workshops range in size from 500 to 1000 sq ft, which are scheduled to be completed next month.


Richard Cairns, Executive Director for Housing, Environmental and Economic Development, said: "We are pleased that this project is so near completion. Having identified the need for new premises in the area these spacious units offer an ideal location for local businesses to move to or to expand their current business."

The workshops have been developed on an area of land within the industrial estate which was not previously built upon.

The units were jointly funded by the Council and the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant.
