New metal planters are to be installed at points throughout Dailly after a planning application by the council was approved.

The George Todd Memorial Fund was created when the George Todd Memorial Hall in the village was sold, with the funds to be used for the benefit of the local inhabitants of Dailly and Old Dailly. The fund is administered by South Ayrshire Council who consider any applications for funding.


Dailly Community Council applied to the George Todd Memorial Fund for £11,836 towards the cost of their new planters.

John Whiteford, Chair of Dailly Community Council said: "I am delighted that we have received funding for our intergenerational planting project. The new planters and plinths will mean that we can bring a splash of colour all year round to our village, which can be enjoyed by local people and visitors to the area. This is a real village project, involving people of all ages who have a pride in their village."
