Members of the Scottish Building Federation were asked about their views on what effect the 2015 Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations will have.
The report indicates the confidence score increased to plus 29 – up by three points compared to the figure for the last quarter of 2014.

59% believe the CDM regulations will be minor whereas 11% believe they will have a major impact on businesses.
Vaughan Hart, Managing Director of the Scottish Building Federation, said: "In order to be sustainable, it's important that the industry's recovery is suitably balanced across all sectors.
"CDM 2015 regulations will have important implications for the responsible management of health and safety on domestic projects."
94% of firms were either fully of partially aware of the changes, while two thirds of respondents think the new rules will increase costs on construction.
