A proposed final design for a new primary school to be built in East Dunbartonshire is to be unveiled at a community information event later this month.

The school, to be built on the site of Lenzie Moss Primary school, is the next stage in a consultation process which began last year.

The community information event is to be held on Wednesday, 18th March at Lenzie Academy.


Council Leader, Rhondda Geekie, said: "When the outline design was available we had great feedback from parents, teachers, school staff, pupils and the wider community. A new school is an important development for a community and it is encouraging that so much interest has been shown.

"We are back now with a proposed final design and are looking again for the thoughts of anyone with an interest in the development. It’s an exciting stage in the process but there is still a lot of work to do. I encourage people to come along. We've given a six hour slot to try to suit the needs of as many people as possible."

The architects for the new school, Holmes Miller, will be at the event to provide information and answer any questions.
