New affordable housing is being delivered throughout West Dunbartonshire as part of a new partnership.
The partnership, between the local Council, Cube Housing Association and its parent company Wheatley Group, will see hundreds of new homes constructed in the area.
As part of the investment, work has started on a 54-home development at Beardmore Place, Clydebank. The one- and two-bedroom flats are modern and energy-efficient, and will be made available for rent. It is anticipated the homes, constructed by CCG, will be completed by September 2015.
The project follows a 33-home development at The Scholars site in Clydebank earlier this year.
Over the next three years, the partnership aims to deliver 300 new, affordable new homes across the West Dunbartonshire area.
Councillor David McBride, Council Housing Convener, said: "It's fantastic to see the partnership deliver such a positive contribution to new affordable housing at such an early stage.
"With advanced plans to deliver hundreds more new affordable homes to meet identified housing need, this is great news for the West Dunbartonshire community."
Liz Ruine, Chair of Cube Housing, added: "It's very exciting to see these new homes take shape and I know they will be a real boost to the area. It's great news for Cube tenants and for people living in West Dunbartonshire."
