A 'Meet the Buyer' event is to be held at Hampden Park, Glasgow, for local subcontractors and suppliers, it has been announced.

The free event will be hosted by Constructionline and aims to help small businesses and SMEs meet with major procurement firms from around the country.

Buyers which have already signed up to the event include the Scottish Government, National Trust for Scotland, Heron Bros Ltd, Hadden Construction, Stewart Milne Group, McLaughlin & Harvey and Historic Scotland.


Stephanie Lawrie, Client Relationship Manager at Constructionline, is quoted as saying: "In our experience local government and other businesses are wanting to give work to SMEs in their area, and on the other side, contractors are very eager to get involved in these projects. However, it's often challenging for each to gain access to the other.

"This event is designed to offer valuable introductions between local construction companies and buyers to make this link possible, and to help build relationships between them for future projects."

The event will take place on 20 November at Hampden Park in Glasgow, from 8.30am to 3pm. More information, as well as to register interest in attending the event, can be found here.
