Additional improvements have been carried out at Amulree Village Hall in Perthshire, after SSE donated funds to the project.
The monies will allow the car park at the venue to be upgraded. The SSE Griffin and Calliachar community fund panel granted £15,000, while SHE Transmission provided the final support to allow the work to progress.
The hall, which was originally constructed in the early 1950s, has undergone a number of renovation works over the years. In 2012, for example, the asbestos roof on the building was replaced, double glazing was installed, while the walls were insulated and the building redecorated.
This latest project will see the hall's car park transformed from a rough surface, to a more safe and robust area, that will be fit-for-purpose for users.
A spokeswoman for the Amulree Hall Committee said: "The hall is currently used by various groups within the community as well as those from outside. The hall hosts a wide variety of events ranging from dance and exercise classes to elections and children's parties; it has even hosted the occasional wedding. The hall is a great asset for the community and hopefully continues to be so.
"We are delighted with the new car park and would like to thank SSE for their support. The old surface was uneven, potentially dangerous and was quickly deteriorating under the elements. The new surface will make it easier and safer for users of the hall in years to come."
Neil Anderson, SSE Communications Manager, added: "SSE has been active in the wider Amulree area for a number of years with construction projects including Griffin and Calliachar windfarms and also the Beauly-Denny transmission project.
"It is great to see community funds generated from large developments reaching local projects, the difference to the Amulree hall is remarkable."
