The restoration of the park has been made possible by West Dunbartonshire Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Work has included restoring the historic features within the park, such as the Edwardian fencing, ornamental fountain and floral boat feature. A clock sculpture has also been installed in the park, while the play area has been upgraded with new equipment and a new all-weather pitch has been constructed. Elsewhere, the site of the former bandstand has been transformed into an outdoor events space, a new picnic area has been built and lighting has been enhanced.

A gala day is now being held for the community to celebrate the completion of the works. It will be held at Dalmuir Park on Saturday 2 August from noon to 4pm.
Commenting, Councillor David McBride, Depute Convener of Infrastructure and Regeneration, said: "I'm delighted this work has been completed. It is a credit to everyone who worked on the project. These marked improvements will be appreciated by everyone who visits the park."
Councillor Patrick McGlinchey, Convener of Infrastructure and Regeneration, added: "Dalmuir Park is a fantastic asset and this work has further enhanced this stunning setting. The gala day is a chance for residents who may not have visited the park recently to come along and see the transformation."
