The feedback that is received will then be used to prepare a case for a new-build facility, which will be considered by Councillors later this year.
A number of sites have been put forward by Stromness Community Council.
Plans to replace St Peter's House was considered as part of the local authority's building programme evaluation process and has since made it to an initial shortlist. The next stage of the project involves officers submitting a more detailed outline for the scheme, including a preferred site. Councillors would then look at the submission for further consideration.

James Stockan, a local Councillor, explained: "A number of sites have been proposed through this process of early discussion with the Community Council.
"We are still in the very early stages of the overall project, but we'd really like for folk to come along at this stage, see these suggested sites, and give us their views.
"The feedback will help with future work to identify feasible sites with good community support so that we can move project considerations to the next stage."
Information on the sites will be available on the OIC website from this week, while hard copy feedback forms will be available at OIC Customer Services in Kirkwall and at Stromness Swimming Pool.
The closing date for comments on the proposed sites is Friday 18 July.
