Fronius UK Welding Division has opened a new facility in East Kilbride, Scotland.
This is the second site for the company, which is expanding its presence throughout the UK and which will provide a more localised service for its Scottish customers.
The new facility will house offices, a service and repair centre, a warehouse and demonstration area. It was also increase the Scottish team to eight, with the potential to create more jobs by the end of the year. A total of 56 people are now employed by Fronius.
Heading up the new site, is Sales Manager for the North, James Anderson. Mr Anderson has more than 13 years' experience in the welding industry – five of which has been with Fronius.
Fronius International GmbH consists of three divisions: Perfect Welding, Solar Energy and Perfect Charging. The firm provides the UK welding market with solutions for MIG/MAG, TIG, electrode, laser hybrid, plasma and resistance spot welding.
Commenting on the announcement, James Anderson said: "It is of the utmost important that we are able to deliver a first-class service to customers. That means ensuring customers are supported as quickly as possible on their own premises.
"The new site in central Scotland enables our committed team of experts and sales representatives to provide prompt, efficient assistance and advice."
The new facility will officially open at the end of this month.
