Denny Town Centre Plans On Display

Falkirk Council is to host two drop-in events to showcase proposals for the new Denny town square later this month.

The sessions will allow the local community to hear updates about the delivery of Phase 1 of the programme, and be able to see the plans for:

• A new town square showing event spaces, street furniture and potential public art

• A look at the interim results of the community consultation with regard to the use of the new town square and what it has achieved to date


• The approved Phase 1 plans and designs

• A video created by young people from Denny High School

• Final plans showing the proposed temporary location of the War Memorial in Broompark Memorial Gardens.

Commenting ahead of the sessions, Councillor Dennis Goldie, spokesperson for Economic Development said: "The events will give local residents and businesses a great insight into the plans for the town and we would urge everyone in the local area to drop in.

"It is great to see how pupils from Denny High are taking an interest in the future of their town centre through the creation of a video.

"We also are planning further consultation on the final position for the war memorial early in 2015."

The drop-in events will be held at Denny Old Parish Church on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 May between 2pm and 8pm.
