Members of the Aberdeenshire community will be able to share their views on the findings of a recent regeneration study.

The study is part of a wider initiative which aims to increase the popularity of four towns in the area – Banff and Macduff, Fraserburgh, and Peterhead.

In May 2013, a consortium of consultants was led by architects HRI to undertake strategic reviews of the towns, and the results of the reviews and draft Action Plans will be on show to allow locals to comment on the proposals.


Aberdeenshire Council's Town Centres and Regeneration Manager, Christine Webster, said: "We want to take on board as much community opinion as possible as we move forward with plans to help revitalise these town centres.

"The council alone cannot make all the changes which may be required so everyone with an interest has to work together for the benefit of these town centres."

In Macduff, the public viewings will be held at Macduff Library on Wednesday 7 May from 3pm to 5pm, and Thursday 8 May from 10am to noon and 6pm to 8pm.

In Banff, the plans will be on display at Banff Castle on Friday 9 May from noon to 7pm, and on Saturday 10 May from 10am to 4pm.
