The SSE Hydro has received further recognition as one of Scotland's key developments, having won an award for architectural excellence.
The facility, which is located in Glasgow, was presented with the accolade at the recent Scottish Property Awards.
The SSE Hydro won the Architectural Excellence Award for a public building.
SSE's 10-year investment and sponsorship of The SSE Hydro was announced in 2011 and has helped propel the venue onto the world stage.
Wendy Barbour, SSE Director of Commonwealth Games and Sponsorship, is quoted as saying: "We're proud to support live entertainment in Scotland through our investment at The SSE Hydro so this recognition is greatly appreciated.
"The opening of The SSE Hydro was a historic moment for Glasgow and for Scotland as well as an exciting new chapter for SSE. The building has rapidly established itself as an iconic feature of the Glasgow skyline and it is great to receive this recognition for its innovative design."
Dan Macdonald, Chief Executive of McDonald Estates and member of the judging panel, added: "By rewarding the hard work of teams, businesses and individuals, these awards can be a vital part of our rehabilitation as an industry and are a much valued opportunity for reflection on progress in the last year."
The winners were decided by an industry judging panel, designed to recognise new and commercial developments as well as regeneration projects across Scotland. Other winners on the night included the Commonwealth Games village and the ambitious Dundee Waterfront project.
