The latest phase of Kingdom Housing Association's affordable housing project in Cellardyke, Fife, has been completed.
Finished almost two months ahead of schedule, the £5m development is located near the coast in the Anstruther area, and will provide 44 homes within the community.
Twenty-five of the new homes will be for social rent and 20% have been designed to be suitable for older people or people needing ground floor and fully-accessible amenity housing.
There are also eight homes provided for Shared Equity ownership and 11 Mid Market Rent properties within the completed development.
The two and three-bedroom homes have also been built to high standards, with spacious rooms, quality finishes and high energy efficiency standards.
The total cost for the project was £4.9m, with Kingdom receiving just over £2m from the Scottish Government and Fife Council to support the project.
Bill Banks from Kingdom said: "It is difficult to get land in East Fife to develop affordable housing and the project in Cellardyke will make a significant contribution to meeting the housing needs in the area.
"The need for affordable housing in this area continues to grow and it is difficult for families and people looking for their first home to find suitable properties and this project provides housing to meet a range of affordable tenures giving choice to people who are trying to access affordable housing."
The Kingdom development is part of a larger site being developed by Muir Homes, where a total of 331 new homes will be provided.
David Scobbie, Director with Muir Homes, added: "Muir Homes have provided affordable housing in partnership with Housing Associations for a number of years. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to be involved with Kingdom Housing Association on this project. The houses reflect our ambition to continually deliver quality housing to a high standard within our client’s budgetary requirements and expectations."
