Progress is continuing on a number of new affordable homes in Clydebank.
The development, which is a joint partnership between Cube Housing Association and Barratt West Scotland, will see a mix of one- and two-bedroom flats constructed on the site of the former Clydebank College.
More than 30 flats for affordable rent are being built on site. They are made up of nine one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom flats. They are also part of the 119-home 'The Scholars' development on Kilbowir Road, Clydebank.
Work on the properties is expected to be completed by the early summer.
In a statement, Cube Housing Association said it is to buy the 33 properties when they are completed. This will allow the association, which is part of the Wheatley Group, to provide more small, good-quality homes at affordable rents for local people.
Cube Chair Liz Ruine said: "I'm delighted we're working with Barratt to bring forward these new quality flats for tenants in a great location where the old Clydebank College used to be.
"I am sure the flats will be very popular with local people. In particular, they will help provide a good option for some who may have been affected by Bedroom Tax and are looking to move to a smaller home. I look forward to seeing the flats finished later this year and to the first tenants moving in."
David Scott, Managing Director of Barratt West Scotland, added: "We are delighted to have teamed up with Wheatley Group to help to provide much needed affordable housing for the local community in Clydebank.
"The Scholars is a great spot and has proved to be a very popular development and the first new residents have now moved in to this flourishing new community."
