Eco Insulate have been accepted onto the supply chain for Hub South West.
This is an initiative of the Scottish Government - through the Scottish Futures Trust - and the Hub is one of five covering the whole of Scotland, each with its own Territory Supplier Network.
It provides access to a 20-year long Public/Private sector partnership to construct schools, medical centres, courts, care homes, fire and police stations.
Whilst Eco Insulate Ltd are based in the South West of Scotland, historically their work has been largely in the Highlands and Islands. This new involvement with the Hub, however, will also provide additional opportunities nearer to home in areas including Ayrshire. Lanarkshire and Dumfries and Galloway.
Colin Davidson, Surveying and Estimating Manager, said: "Our success in joining the Territory Supplier Network followed the submission of an extensive Pre Qualification Questionnaire and subsequent signing of the Hub's Supply chain charter.
"The approval process also involved a commitment to providing local employment, improving skills and other measures to encourage Sustainable construction and smarter working practices all of which will be measured by various KPI's.
"We believe that this achievement acknowledges the progress Eco Insulate Ltd has made over the last 4 years in developing a relatively new market for spray foam insulation in Scotland. It also recognises our approach to business and opens up further opportunities for us by providing access to a variety of major Public sector projects."
Hub South West is currently made up of three 'Tier 1' contractors who will be bidding for Design, Build, Fund and Management projects worked up between the Hub team and Public sector participants.
Other contractors will also bid for lower value projects one of which has already worked with Eco Insulate Ltd on other non Hub related projects. In each case the contractors are committed to using local sub contractors, suppliers and materials wherever possible.
