Tas Building Supplies Adds To Staff

TAS Building Supplies have welcomed its newest member of staff.

The firm, which is based in Castle Douglas, welcomed Malcolm Smith on board and he will be responsible for running the firms Cladding Department from its premises at Station Yard Industrial Estate.

Mr Smith has been involved with the cladding industry for more than a decade. He successfully secured supply and distribution contracts for both 'Tata-Steel' and 'Cembrit' and as a result, the company has available ex-stock for a complete package for all cladding requirements.

Cembrit has been producing Fibre-Cement roofing sheets for over a century, while Tata steel are one of the top 10 steel manufacturers in the world, so there will never be an issue with availability, quality or back-up, while there will be at any one time, more than 50 tonnes/11,000 linear feet of Fibre-Cement and 2,000m² of coated steel sheeting at Tas Building Supplies depot.

As agents for Tata steel, the firm also offers rates on composite (insulated) roofing sheets with no minimum order, curved sheets for Dutch barns and pig arks and custom made steel flashings.

As well as the aforementioned products, there are also a range of fixings and accessories, sliding-track, guttering and kiln dried C16 construction timbers available.
