Two months will be held next month to allow locals to give their views to contribute to the development of the new Town Centre Framework and Action Plan.
The new Framework and Action Plan will guide the town's development and management over the next five to 10 years and will address a range of issues, including the design quality of the town centre and its public spaces, accessibility in and around the town centre, management, business support, marketing and promotion.
Councillor James Coyle, Convener of the Planning and Transportation Committee said: "The new Framework and Action Plan will be a blueprint for the future of the town centre over the next five to ten years, so we want to make sure they meet the needs of the people who live and work there and use the local facilities.
"Therefore, we want to listen to the views of as many local residents and businesses as possible. We had a good response to the first round of consultation earlier this year, and these drop-in sessions are an opportunity to comment on the issues raised so far.
"I hope people will take some time to come along to these events and help us agree a vision and action plan for the future management and regeneration of Airdrie town centre."
The drop-in sessions will be held at Airdrie Library in Wellwynd on:
- Wednesday 16 October from 3pm to 7pm
- Thursday 17 October from 11am to 2pm.
