The consultation will look at capacity issues and potential opportunities relating to the existing transport network in the Bridge of Dee area.
The NESTRANS-funded study follows a previous study, completed in May 2008, which identified the long-term need for additional capacity across the River Dee.
As a result, a number of options for Access from the South has been identified and developed for consultation with stakeholders.
The aim of the consultation is to engage with the public on the options being considered, obtain feedback and report findings as part of the Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG) Part 1 Assessment.
As part of this, a number of public exhibitions will be held.
The venues and dates are as follows:
- Tuesday 17 September at Inchgarth Community Centre from 12pm to 8pm
- Wednesday 18 September at South Holburn Church from 10am to 8pm
- Thursday 19 September at Marischal College from 10am to 5pm.
The plans will be displayed at each venue and officers will be on hand to explain the proposed options in more detail and to answer any questions.
The consultation begins today (Tuesday 17 September) and runs until 4 October.
