According to the BBC, Councillors agreed that up to £70,000 should be granted towards the restoration of the historic Black Isle church.
Kirkmichael, at Balblair, was constructed in the Middle Ages, but fell into disuse by the 18th Century.

Last April, due to heavy snow fall, the last surviving part of the roof collapsed.
Now, the Kirkmichael Trust hopes to raise £689,676 through donations from various public bodies to restore the building.
The property is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, meaning any works which need to be carried out need to be done so with permission from Historic Scotland, and with great sensitivity to the heritage of the site.
As part of the restoration work, the Trust aims to stabilise and re-roof the buildings, conserve the mausolea, and establish a permanent display of the medieval crosses and ornamental stones found in the area.
