The year-long contract, worth £3.6m, has involved:
- constructing a new roundabout in place of two traffic-signalled junctions
- the realignment of Hendry Road
- the dualling of the single carriageway west of Hendry Road.
In addition, over the next few weeks, remedial works will be carried out by the contractor to the landscaping and grassing.
Mark Dewar, Service Manager (Design and Construction) explained: "Often largescale projects will require some remedial works and the contractor is fully aware of the standard to be achieved.
"I wish to reassure the public that Fife Council will only accept this project as complete, once these works have been carried out to the required standard.
"I would like to thank local residents and road users for their patience throughout these improvements."
