Fraserburgh bus station is to officially reopen next week following a £340,000 investment to improve facilities.
Aberdeen Council carried out a major restoration project on the building to make it better and more attractive for users. It has now been refurbished inside and outside and has a new roof, double glazing and insulation.
Inside the premises, has been revamped to provide additional offices and staff facilities as well as creating a more modern and pleasant environment.
Work at the site on Hanover Street as undertaken so as to cause as little disruption as possible to staff and the functionality of the business.
Aberdeenshire Council contributed £140,000 to the project and regional transport partnership Nestrans set aside an additional £200,000.
Chairman of Nestrans and the Council's Infrastructure Services Committee (ISC), Peter Argyle, said: "One of the main aims of this work was to increase the attractiveness of public transport as an option to people going about their daily business.
"We want to help change people's perceptions of what it's like to use public transport instead of taking the car, and providing better travelling environments and better services will help us do that."
ISC Vice Chair, Alan S. Buchan, added: "This new facility will be warmer, more comfortable and generally a nicer place to be while waiting or arriving at the station.
"I hope people who already use the services feel the benefit and those who haven't will consider making use of them in future as an alternative way to get about."
The official reopening of Fraserburgh Bus Station on Hanover Street will take place on Tuesday 27 August.
