Almost 100 New Homes For Aberdeen

Construction News Image
Aberdeen Council has said proposals for 65 new homes on the outskirts of Bucksburn have been recommended for approval.

The planned development, located near Hopetoun Grange, would consist of five detached three-bedroom homes, 18 detached four-bedroom homes, 18 detached five-bedroom homes, eight detached six-bedroom homes and 16 two-bedroom flats.

In a report submitted to the committee, Head of Planning and Sustainable Development Dr Margaret Bochel said: "The proposed development layout is such that along the southern boundary it fronts onto existing dwellings along Hopetoun Grange, thus creating an appropriate link between existing and new development, and a welcome and open frontage onto this main access road.

"The proposed development achieves an acceptable mix of hour types and sizes."

Members of the Development Management Sub-Committee will consider the application when they meet on Thursday (22 August).

In addition to the above, plans for a 32-home development are also to be discussed by Councillors.

Planning officials have recommended that Bancon Development's planning application – for a field at Pittengullies Brae – be approved.

The company is seeking to build 32 properties, a new road and a play park on the site which is currently being used for grazing horses.

The application will be considered tomorrow (22 August).
