The programme offers unemployed 17 to 24-year-olds in the Highlands the opportunity of a career within the energy industry.
Applications for this year's training programme are now open.
The scheme has been developed in conjunction with Inverness College UHI and SSE, and is part funded by the energy company and Skills Development Scotland (SDS).
Gary Hamilton, Head of Operational Training at SSE, said: "As a result of last year's training programme, 18 young Highlanders are now in full-time employment and looking forward to long and successful careers in the industry.
"SHE Transmission is investing heavily in transmission infrastructure across the Highlands and we are committed to making sure that it is home-grown Highland youngsters who are the future of the industry by providing them with the training and skills required."
Gordon McGuiness, Head of Industry and Enterprise Networks at SDS, added: "This programme represents a wonderful opportunity for young people to learn new skills, gain experience and potentially land a job with one of Scotland's top employers.
"We are delighted to support the programme and commend the partnership approach developed between SSE and Inverness College, which is delivering quality energy sector jobs for young people in the Highlands."
