West Dunbartonshire Council has asked its tenants to rate its housing service.
Around 600 households will be randomly selected for the comprehensive telephone survey this month.
It will provide tenants with the opportunity to answer questions on how satisfied they are with key services such as communication with landlords, how anti social behaviour is dealt with and how friendly and approachable staff are. It will also allow tenants to share any additional comments or suggestions they may have, directly with the Council.
The questionnaire will also ask tenants if they feel they are getting value for money from the Council, and if their opinions have been listened to in the past. The survey will be conducted by an independent social research company, and takes around 10 minutes to complete. Answers will be treated in the strictest confidence and won't be attributed to individuals.
Councillor David McBride, Housing Convener, said: "This is a great opportunity for our tenants to tell us what they think of us and how they feel about their home. The views of tenants really matter to us and this survey gives us up-to-date information on satisfaction levels, which will allow us to improve our service and address any weaknesses."
Councillor Lawrence O'Neill, Vice Housing Convener, added: "The findings from the research will be used to see how well the Council is delivering housing services and help shape any upcoming decisions. The data it provides will also allow us to compare our performance with landlords and other local authorities. I really hope people take advantage of this opportunity if they are asked to take part."
