The new community sports and leisure facilities include state-of-the-art gyms and a gymnastics academy, as well as a 25-metre swimming pool.
The facilities are part of the £37.1m Lasswade High School Centre. The community facilities within the new building were funded by the Council, while the new school is being delivered with joint money from the Scottish Government's Scottish Futures Trust, and Midlothian Council.

BAM Construction completed the works of the project, which also include a feature entrance with coloured glazing, community meeting rooms, conference suite, plasma screens, Costa Coffee internet cafe and a new public library, which is set to open next week.
Councillor Bob Constable, said: "I'm delighted to see these brand new community facilities open to the public, which is a great investment for the local community.
"The whole building is spectacular and we are very much looking forward to the opening of the school after the summer break.
"I would urge everyone to get down to the new site and enjoy some of the best sporting facilities the area has to offer."
