Plans have been approved for the first phase of the Aberdeen International Business Park, off Dyce Drive.

Planning permission in principle for a business park and associated infrastructure works was granted in November.

The concept for phase one will see a high quality office campus constructed in an attractive park environment, which will be occupied by Aker Solutions.

The building will have floor space of 32,249sq metres which will be delegated into 27,250sq metres of office space, 2,347 metres of leisure space – including dining and leisure space – a crèche, fitness facilities and a small shop.


Following a meeting on Thursday, the Development Management Sub-Committee approved a number of conditions related to the proposals.

Convener Councillor Ramsay Milne said: "I am very pleased that Aker has chosen to further invest in Aberdeen. I am sure that having splendid new corporate headquarters will allow the company to continue to deliver services from Aberdeen to the North Sea and the world.

"This development and investment in the city is a clear sign of the continuing strength of Aberdeen's economy and the level of faith and confidence the private sector has in the city. Aberdeen remains well and truly open for business."
