The proposals are the first to fall under the umbrella of the Village and Small Town Centre Initiative which was agreed by the Council as part of the 2013/14 budget earlier this year.
A consultation programme on the proposal is now underway and the Council is asking for views from local residents and businesses.
Sauchie Community Council met on Monday evening and saw the plans for the first time.
The proposals include:
- Refurbishing the exterior of buildings in Sauchie Main Street
- Upgrading paths
- Removing the raised beds
- Installing new energy efficient street lights
- Installing new traffic signals of at junction of Main Street and Greygoran
Council Leader Gary Womersley said: "The aim of this project is to improve the environment of Sauchie Main Street for the people who live and work in this area. I am delighted that Sauchie will be the first recipient of investment under the Village and Small Town Centre Initiative.
"We have secured £648,000-worth of funding for these improvements and I look forward to hearing the views of local residents and businesses on our proposals."
A drop-in open day about the proposals will be held at Sauchie Hall on Friday 24 May from 9am to 5pm.
The consultation runs until 10 June.
