Miller Homes has unveiled plans to build almost 1,000 homes in Glasgow.
The construction company has said the proposals will be completed over the next decade.
It received planning approval for a number of family properties on sites at Broomhouse, Crookston and Cardowan, as well as an existing development at Glasgow Zoo.
The gross development value of the sites is expected to be around £250m.
At Broomhouse, the development will comprise a total of 600 new homes which will be built in phases over the next ten years. Work is due to begin on the site in late summer.
Elsewhere, a total of 265 properties are planned for Crookston Road to the south of Glasgow, while the a further 58 homes are planned for the development at Cardowan in the north-east of the city. The development at Glasgow Zoo will feature 60 new houses.
Managing Director for Miller Homes Scotland, David Knight, said work on the various projects had been going on behind the scenes for a number of years.
He added: "Work has been going on behind the scenes for a number of years to bring these developments to fruition and with our commitment to creating family homes in desirable locations, we are confident they will provide much needed homes within the Glasgow area, helping support Glasgow City Council's policy of preventing family drift out of the city.
"This investment clearly demonstrates our commitment to house building and confidence that the market is showing steady signs of improvement, which has been helped by initiatives such as the reintroduction of 95% mortgages to help homebuyers.
"From a wider economic perspective, we will also be supporting jobs in the city, with every new home built supporting four new jobs – two directly and two indirectly – and creating opportunities for apprentices."
Miller Homes currently has 12 live developments in the west of Scotland.
