A report by the South West Fife Area Committee has revealed plans to invest more than £1m on council homes in the area.
A total of 26 different jobs will be undertaken over the next year to help deliver a range of improvements including 71 improved heating systems, 98 new kitchens and 14 new sets of windows and doors.
The work is part of a Fife-wide investment of almost £62m in council houses over the next year.
Of the budget, more than £37m will be used to continue maintenance work on homes to bring them up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard. Elsewhere, more than £8m will be spent on wider investment works such as improvements to high rise housing, the conversion of bedsits to one and two-bedroom properties and decommissioning of sheltered housing to provide general needs homes, as well as property extensions due to overcrowding, disabilities and for children with special needs.
An investment of over £13m will be made to deliver on policy options including the new build projects to build new council homes, energy efficiency projects and estates initiatives.
Speaking about the latest investment, Committee Chair Bobby Clelland said: "I'm pleased that so many improvement works will be carried out in the next year, bringing us closer to the target of 100% compliance with the Government's Scottish Housing Quality Standard by 2015.
"The improvements will make real differences for tenants in south west Fife and allow us to offer more fit for purpose, comfortable homes."
