A £5.4m investment plan of council homes has been presented to Cowdenbeath Area Committee.
The report outlines a variety of improvements for the area's council houses.
A total of 1,184 different jobs will be undertaken over the next year.
The work includes:
* 385 improved heating systems
* 424 new kitchens
* 210 new roofs
* 17 shower systems
* 31 new sets of windows and doors
Councillor Willie Clarke, Chair of the Cowdenbeath Area Committee, said: "I'm pleased that so many improvement works will be carried out in the next year, bringing us closer to the target of 100% compliance with the Government's Scottish Housing Quality Standard by 2015.
"The improvements will make real differences for tenants in the Cowdenbeath area and allow us to offer more fit for purpose, comfortable homes."
The improvements works are part of a Fife-wide investment of almost £62m in council homes over the next year. More than £37m of this budget will be used to carry out maintenance work on homes in order to bring them up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.
A further £8m will be spent on wider investment works such as improvements to high rise housing, the conversion of bedsits to one and two-bedroom properties and decommissioning of sheltered housing to provide general needs homes as well as property extensions due to overcrowding, disabilities and for children with special needs.
An investment of more than £13m will be made to deliver on policy options, including new build projects to build new council homes, energy efficiency projects and estate initiatives.
