14 family properties in Kirkton are to be insulated over their existing outside render to improve heat retention and reduce fuel bills.
The insulation programme is part of an investment in council housing which aims to bring all council houses up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.
The total spend on the project over the next five years will be £80m.
A report to the housing committee at a meeting on Monday 11 February will recommend the appointment of Dundee City Council’s environment department construction services division as the contractor.

Jimmy Black convener of Dundee City Council’s housing committee said: "These houses are particularly hard to heat, and would be likely to fail the new energy efficiency standards which will take effect in 2020. This work will ensure they have a long term future and will make a huge difference to tenants' energy bills.
"The £350,000 contract is the first phase of work in West Kirkton that will help residents to have warmer, more fuel efficient homes.
"Houses are expensive to insulate, but this is the most sensible way of fighting fuel poverty and reducing our carbon footprint. Tenants do not want to see their heat - and their money - vanishing through their walls. Insulation is the best way to ensure that families can afford to heat their homes."
