Aberdeenshire Council is inviting the residents of Turriff to view plans for the new primary school expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
The draft plans are being displayed at the Gateway Community Centre on Thursday 13 December between 15:00 and 19:00.
The consultation will see architects and council officials on hand to answer questions and discuss the plans with residents.
Chair of Aberdeenshire Council’s Education, Learning and Leisure committee Councillor Isobel Davidson said: "We are planning to relocate Markethill Primary to a new site in Turriff as the current primary school will not be able to cope with the rising roll in the near future.
"This is the chance for local people to question the architects and council officials on the plans for the new school. They will be able to spend as much time as they like viewing the plans chatting to the architects and staff who will be actively seeking comments on the plans."
A virtual 'walk through' of the new building will also be on display during the consultation period.
Vice Chair of Aberdeenshire Council’s Education, Learning and Leisure committee Councillor Ron McKail said: "I hope people will take time to go along next Thursday and have their say on the plans.
"The new school is part of the Council’s capital plan which includes the construction of 6 new or replacement primary schools across Aberdeenshire."
More information is available from the Gateway Community Centre on 01888 562 562.
