Glasgow’s Southside Housing Association has announced the appointment of its new $4.8m contract to undertake works to 219 properties.
The Association has awarded the contract for over-cladding works within three 10-storey blocks of flats at 20-220 Moss Heights in Cardonald to construction company ISG.
The development itself already has historical relevance to the city, being the first high rise in Glasgow, built in 1953.
Moss Heights currently houses over 1,000 residents.

Curtain walling will be fitted across the balcony areas to provide residents with two new sun rooms.
The contract will involve testing the concrete frame structures exterior repairs to external walls, fences and footpaths.
ISG's Andy Mallice, managing director - Scotland, said: "ISG continues to establish a well-deserved reputation for successfully delivering complex, multi-storey façade improvement projects with major UK housing association providers. The ability to deliver a fast-track programme, whilst minimising disruption to tenants, requires a skilled approach. Close tenant liaison is an essential part of this process, and we work hard to effectively communicate important information to our neighbours via multiple channels to ensure the greatest possible outreach."
The company just recently completed the first phase of a £45m regeneration scheme at Mill O'Mains in Dundee for Home Scotland a recent scheme for Glasgow Housing Association, which included the refurbishment of 13 multi-storey blocks across the city.
