New Staff At Seddon Property Services

Forty new members of staff have been taken on by maintenance and painting specialist Seddon Property Services in Scotland to help deliver its new contract with leading affordable housing provider Home Scotland, part of Home Group.

The company has recruited the new staff members, including tradespeople, managers, administration staff and supervisors, to join the team working on its five-year contract to provide reactive maintenance services for Home Scotland for 3,500 of its homes. In addition, Seddon has launched a new fleet of 20 vans that will be used by its team to reach Home Scotland customers across Scotland.

The Seddon team carries out responsive repairs for Home Scotland including joinery, painting, plumbing, gas services, plastering and roofing work. Seddon is based at the Whitehill Industrial Estate, Bathgate, West Lothian.

"Boosting communities through new job opportunities is an important part of our commitment to improving lives wherever we work. We're delighted to have created these new jobs through our work with Home Scotland," said Seddon Property Services strategic operations manager Kevin Shutt.

Seddon Property Services now has 179 members of staff working across Scotland.

Rosemary Du Rose, Home Group's director of customer service, said: "Seddon Property Services has been providing a good service for Home Scotland customers. We're sure the expanded workforce will enable Seddon to continue to provide a service which meets our customers' expectations."
