The course, at SHARE in Kirkhaven Church, Glasgow, is aimed at staff involved in maintenance, development or asset management within the housing sector.
Trainer Bill Sheldrick will run through the implications of introducing solar panels, photovoltaics, micro-wind generation and other technologies to housing projects, whether new-builds or refurbishment.
Participants will learn about design implications, feed-in tariffs and the possibility of grant funding, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of various technologies.
Bill Sheldrick is a trustee of the Scottish Power Energy People Trust and an assessor, trainer and examiner for the National Home Energy Rating scheme.
This half day course is an introduction to a full 2-day City and Guilds course on Renewable Energy.
It takes place on June 14 from 9.30am to 12.30pm and costs £85 for SHARE members or £160 for non-members.
