In 2009 Shepherd Chartered Surveyors reported that commercial property deals are like buses – you wait for what seems like forever for one to come along and then you get all six at the one time.

Whilst the market is certainly still challenging, David Maxwell in J&E Shepherd’s Edinburgh office has surpassed his 2009 achievement which has culminated abruptly in the signing of six property deals all on the same Friday afternoon.


The deals include two sales and four leases, in and around Edinburgh, and ‘Six Deal Dave’ has again passed into office legend at Shepherd. Unfortunately there is not all good news to the story as David is leaving for pastures new.

Ian Hannon, managing partner at Shepherd with responsibility for overseeing its commercial operation in Edinburgh, commented: "David has been a valued member of the team for the last five years and our loss will be Thistle Properties’ gain and we wish him all the very best for the future."
