Record Number Of Entries Received For Home Building Awards

Entries for industry body Homes for Scotland’s annual Awards scheme have reached record levels this year, with 80 submissions received across the 8 categories which focus on customers, people, partnership and design.

In addition, two new headline awards have been introduced: "Home Builder of the Year" and "Supporting Company of the Year". In what is set to be an exciting new twist to the awards ceremony, which will take place at the EICC on Friday 4 May, an electronic voting system will be used by audience members to cast their votes for these two prestigious awards, ensuring guests are placed right at the heart of proceedings.

Entries are being assessed by an independent judging panel, which is chaired by Glasgow Solicitors Property Centre Chief Executive Mark Hordern who commented: "With such a large volume of quality submissions received across the board this year, the judging process is certainly going to be a tough task. However, this very encouraging response demonstrates that the industry is doing its utmost to overcome the challenges it still faces and is very much focused on the future.

"I look forward to seeing this endeavor recognised on 4th May."
