Scottish commercial property consultancy, FG Burnett, has been shortlisted for a national award, recognising their performance in the office Agency sector.
The firm is one of six finalists in Office Agency Team of the Year category in the Property Awards 2012 and follows one of the business’s most successful years to date.
The Office Agency team lines up against national rivals including CBRE Group, Jones Lang LaSalle and Knight Frank and will find out of it has won the coveted title at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on April 19.
Headed up by director Jonathan Nesbitt and associate Dan Smith, the Office Agency team delivered 71 office transactions in 2011, representing a deal every 3.66 working days.
FG Burnett managing director, Angus MacCuish, said the nomination was recognition of the agency’s standing in a highly competitive market.
He said: "To reach the finals of this nationally recognised event is a great achievement and recognises the expertise and breadth of experience of Jonathan’s office agency team. It is unusual for a purely Scottish agency to reach this finals stage and we look forward to doing battle with the national firms on their own turf."
Jonathan Nesbitt added: "We have been fortunate to have been involved with many of the high profile office transactions in Aberdeen within the last 12 months. With Aberdeen’s office market characterised by a dearth of quality supply combined with unprecedented demand, it has a different dynamic from almost everywhere else in the UK.
"To have achieved the success that we have throughout 2011, and to be shortlisted for the Office Agency Team of the Year, is testament to the strength of the team as a whole."
FG Burnett is a multi-disciplinary practice with 22 fee earners between its Aberdeen headquarters and its Glasgow office which covers the Central Belt.
Property Awards 2012 is sponsored by industry publication Property Week and received more than 100 nominations for 17 categories. FG Burnett is the only Scottish based agency to be shortlisted in any category.
