Shop and office fit-out and maintenance company, AGM Group, has recently completed its first Community Care Campaign project at Auchmountain Community Resource Centre in Greenock.

AGM Group established its Community Care Campaign as a means of providing free and practical support to local communities which the company is working in for four weeks or more.

After receiving a number of applications for many worthwhile causes, AGM Group opted to support Auchmountain Community Resource Centre to create a ‘chill-out’ room for young adults. The work included re-plastering and painting the room, new overhead lighting, new power points and new flooring.


Andrew Meek, Managing Director of AGM Group, said: "We were delighted to be in a position to offer Auchmountain practical help in creating a room which is specifically going to be used by young adults who use the centre. As a company, we know how important it is to receive support from the local community and we hope to support many more initiatives in the coming months and years."

Ann Marie Lynn, Manager of Auchmountain Community Resource Centre, said: "Auchmountain Community Resource Centre would like to thank the AGM Group for their support in this project. The Chill Out Room will be utilised by young people aged 12 -18 years old and will provide a safe and comfortable environment. The centre can also help the young people with training as it offers a variety of Vocational and Non Vocational courses that can aid employment opportunities."
